Your heel should fit snug with no slipping. The midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight. You should have enough room in the toe box to wiggle your toes. Our shoes are made to fit directly out of the box. They do not need to be broken in.

People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big. Clues that your shoes are too small or narrow include - foot cramping or "falling asleep" or the formation of blisters and calluses between or on your toes.

Feet typically get bigger with age. We encourage you to have your feet measured every year. Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.

Your left and right feet may differ in length or width as much as a full size. Be sure to measure and try shoes on both feet, and always buy shoes to fit your larger foot.

While the incremental enlargement/reductions between the sizes and widths are industry standards – not every manufacturer starts with the same measurement for their model size.

Rockport uses the Brannock Device measurement along with several taped forefoot volume measurements as a starting point for both men’s and women’s shoes.

United StatesStrange size discrepancy, but nice boot
I have a mens 10.5 D width pair of this model boot. The sole on one boot either ripped or cracked all the way through after about one year. It looked like a manufacturing defect, and the other boot was not affected. I ordered a new pair of the identical model in the same size. When I tried them on they were too small. I measured the new boots again my existing pair, and the new boots were 1/2” smaller! I called customer service to see if they had had a problem with mislabelled sizes on theses boots. They simply advised me to return the boots and if i wanted I could order the next size larger. I will consider ordering the next larger size once I get my refund because I do like the boots. They are comfortable and give great support to my feet and ankles. I wish they would offer this boot in an 8” hight model as well as this 6” high boot.

Fit like a glove! The toe is solid but not heavy! Keep up the great shoes and boots Dunham! Loving ROLBAR! SO COMFORTABLE!
True Wide width
Finally a wide width boot. I take a 11EEE. Fees great! Only issue is the should have a pull strap on heel to put on easier. Otherwise a true wide boot!

Perfect Boot for Wide Feet Like Mine
I have trouble finding boots wide enough, and these are plenty roomy at 6E width. The leather is soft and supple and snugs my feet so gently. I love wearing them. I look forward to wearing them for many years.
Wide enough but no 'We-oo' yet
This is the closest we've come to a boot that fits my son's 6E foot. Unfortunately, getting a half size bigger back-fired and the safety area does not 'cover' his toes. Returning these and trying the 9.5. Hope it works! Oh, he wishes this size/width c
Fit Great
This is my 2nd pair of Dunham boots. These boots fit great. They need no break in time. Just put them on and your good to go. All day comfort.
