"I had been looking for a neutral-colored beige shoe for a year or two. Most of what I found was a beige called "nude", which was usually a pinkish beige that never seemed to go with any of my clothes. I found these Rockports to be an attractive, versatile color--sort of a golden champagne color with a touch of luminescence. The style was unique and interesting. The shoes are comfortable and have a padded insole. I did find some inconsistency in sizing however. I purchased one in size 8 and one in size 8 1/2, not knowing which would fit the best. Even though the fit of the 8 and the 8 1/2 were similar, I decided to keep the 8 1/2 shoes and order another pair as backups since I liked them so much. Well, the second pair of 8 1/2s were way too big. I ended up returning those and just keeping the original size 8 and the 8 1/2."
