"This has been my go-to business casual shoe for more than 5 years. When I saw the sale at Rockport, I jumped at the chance to get some new copies of these to replace my existing ones. They are comfortable stand around or walk in, and have room for orthotics when plantar fascitus kicks in. The upper holds up well and takes polish if it gets some scratches, etc."

"I don't remember when I bought the first pair of these shoes, now called Ridgefield Eureka. The second pair I bought in 1996. The third pair about 10 years later. Those just started looking a little worn, so I just bought my fourth pair. I've only worn them once, but they fit and feel wonderful. They look sharp with jeans of khakis, and I even wear them to the office, where their dressy casual style is perfect."

Product Reviews

Ridgefield Eureka is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable...but not very stylish. These shoes are comfortable to wear. However, they are not very stylish. The Mrs. didn't like them at all...and that matters to me. They're a little too "orthopedic" looking, especially with my build (6'2", ~215 pounds). Totally looked like Frankenstein when I had them on. Also, the Rockport logo on the back was extremely off center on one on them. Returned them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Shoes I've been ordering and wearing these shoes for nearly twenty years and have been more than pleased with them. They served me well during two deployments to Iraq, as a civilian, when others shoes began to fall apart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable walking shoes I bought these because I needed good shoes for work. I spend a lot of time on my feet, they are comfortable and keep my feet from hurting or being achy. Great price also.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Eureka K71201 I have a pair of Rockford APM72203 and of unknown age but needed replacing. Typed in the number and Rockford said K71201 so I looked at the various views and purchased. The shoes are just what I had hoped for when ordering. The width (W) fits my foot just as the old.. A great pair for ever day use or casual. (My shoes do not know the difference.)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality not as good as older sytle I have been using the previous model of this shoe for about 15 years. Had a model change a couple of years ago and there is now a seam on the inside bottom trim on the toe end of the shoe. This model is not holding up as well. Now only getting a about 6 months of good wear. The older ones without the vertical seam would last and last. Usually 14 months minimum. Am a plumber and these are my daily drivers. No more. Looking for another shoe to fit the bill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Still a good shoe. I've worn this model shoe exclusively for almost 10 years. This is my third or fourth pair. The leather seems a little stiffer on the pair I recently bought. The older shoes required no break-in period for walking, but this last pair did. Until this last purchase, I had been buying these shoes at a retail outlet but I can no longer find them in brick and mortar stores. Otherwise, the quality seems similar to older pairs but may have dropped a tad. In any case, still a very comfortable shoe and a great value. I haven't found anything else at this price level I'd be willing to buy instead.
