Your heel should fit snug with no slipping. The midfoot of the shoe under your arch and over the top of your foot should be snug but not tight. You should have enough room in the toe box to wiggle your toes. Our shoes are made to fit directly out of the box. They do not need to be broken in.

People are more than twice as likely to buy a shoe that is too small than too big. Clues that your shoes are too small or narrow include - foot cramping or "falling asleep" or the formation of blisters and calluses between or on your toes.

Feet typically get bigger with age. We encourage you to have your feet measured every year. Women's feet often become a half-size (or more) larger after pregnancy.

Your left and right feet may differ in length or width as much as a full size. Be sure to measure and try shoes on both feet, and always buy shoes to fit your larger foot.

While the incremental enlargement/reductions between the sizes and widths are industry standards – not every manufacturer starts with the same measurement for their model size.

Rockport and Cobb Hill use the same Brannock Device measurement along with several taped forefoot volume measurements as a starting point for both men’s and women’s shoes.

Shoes were sent extremely well packaged. I put them on and could feel the difference right away compared to my other shoes. I am 6'2" and 270 lbs and needed good support for standing on concrete all day. I have no problem with laces untying like some other reviews. I would have liked gray shoes better but brown is ok. They "foot" the bill, no pun intended. I would buy again.

United StatesQuality and comfort is very good, but as with many other Rockport footwear I have ordered, I am having to re-tie the shoe laces dozens of times per day, minus one star for this HUGE problem. Rockport needs a better quality or a coated shoe lace to keep them from becoming loose and untied.

My feet know it when a shoe purchase was meant to be, and these are it! Cushioning, yet supportive, these shoes absorb the harshness of pavement and provide grip in all weather and nonpaved surfaces. They don't look like shoes for people like me with finicky feet, and they seem to be breathable without building up heat and creating sweaty feet as some of my other shoes tend to do. I think I will purchase another pair or two to stay out of the pediatrist's office.
