Review Snapshot

Cloud Waterproof Boot is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from sole give poor traction, no waterproof membrane I have owned two pairs of Clouds. They are very comfortable, as a good hiking boot is, but are limited by their lack of traction. The sole pattern is not properly lugged and is too shallow to give sufficient traction in slippery downhill conditions, or in snow, even on flat terrain. Until Dunham gives them a better sole, preferably Vibram, their usefulness is limited. They also need a waterproof membrane such as Gore-tex because all the stitched seams and the mesh tongue, provide entry points for water. I would recommend these only for dog walking in dry conditions on paths with good footing, and perhaps for getting around town in mildly inclement conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great!! Just what I expected!! These are the second pair of Dunham boots I've had. These fit perfectly right out of the box. I wore them around the house for a couple of days to make sure they would still feel good after a couple of hours ..... but decided they would be fine to wear to work without any further "break-in". I wear them daily where they encounter lots of walking and a wide variety of conditions (hard indoor surfaces, rain, snow and mud outside, up and down ladders, etc., etc). Perfect so far .... my feet feel great after a hard 8 hour day. Quality looks to be first rate also so I should be wearing them for years!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Comfortable, but not durable. I purchased these boots in February 2017. I use them for hiking or camping several times a year — so not extreme use. The rubber part that covers the toe has already started separating from the toe of the boot. On one of the boots, the rubber part on the tip of the toe that is actually part of the sole is also separating from the shoe. I’ve tried Shoe Goo, but it’s not very effective. I typically like Dunham products and have purchased an assortment of Dunham shoes before. But I expected them to last more than 2 3/4 years with light to moderate use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality boot Short lifespan for these boots. I have a pair about a year old, and the sole is falling apart in multiple places. Terrible quality boots. 1 year warranty for seems very short for expensive boot. I think Rockport has chosen to abandon their previous reputation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep making them! This is my third pair of Dunham Cloud boots. I've walked/hiked hundreds of miles in these things on three different continents. They really do the job. They are comfortable enough to walk more than 10 miles/day and the hold up exceptionally well. They are great for orthotic arch supports and they come in a very narrow B width. If you have long, skinny feet like mine, then this is the boot for you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed This is the 3rd pair of this model, size and width of this boot I have purchased. I have always been pleased with the fit. On this order, the left boot had a bad rough/ pinch spot near the left foot big toe area, rubbing on the top of my left foot. Too bad since the right boot fit fine and the other 2 pair I have purchased also fit fine. Returned the order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this boot! I wear a 14B and this is the 6th pair of this boot I have owned because they fit so well; I wore the other five out!! I have had 4 back surgeries since 1990 and this has proven to be the most supportive boot I have ever owned. I have hiked all over with them, and on darn near every conceivable type of terrain and they have supported my back every step of the way. Great tread, and superior ankle and arch support. Wish I could have worn these in the field in the USMC, beats military issued boots by light years!!! Width and length are dead on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very poor quality compared to original Dunhams I had a pair of Cloud Waterproof boots originally made by Dunham. They finally started to get worn out so I ordered what I thought was the same boot with the same quality. To my surprise and chagrin, the new boot was inferior in all aspects except weight. The reason for the lighter weight was the reduction in good leather, stronger heels and all other features. I returned them INSTANTLY!
