Looks good, feels good These are not claimed to be waterproof. Their is a waterproof version. I hope this review is relevant. I don't know if this model will be continued. They feel like walking shoes yet look like semi-formal work shoes/boots. You can see the EVA foam midsole, though it's tinted to match the boot. They have just the right amount of support and padding for walking/standing all day. I swapped out the insoles for more arch support, but I have to this with all shoes. Tread tends to pick up small pebbles, but works good in snow. (I actually took a hike in them when I forgot my heavy hiking boots.) I've been out in the rain with no leaks. I hope they work in deep slush and snow. There is no gusset at the sides of the tongue, so go around the deep puddles. I liked the not-so-serious looks of the tan but chose the dark brown. I would have preferred something in between, but they're nice. I didn't care for the light stitching on the black. I hope something similar comes out when these have reached the end of their life. great pair of boots I bought these boots to replace a pair of Rockports that were no longer available and was not disappointed. Ordered the same size as the old discontinued pair and they fit perfectly. These boots are comfortable, look good and are durable in the elements. January 16, 2013

Comfortable and sturdy. Possibly the best boots that I have ever purchased for work. Extremely comfortable from day 1 with no break in period necessary. They keep my feet protected from the elements and somehow warm and sweat free. Highly recommended. March 5, 2012
