Favorite Recipes: Fall Adventures in the Kitchen

Leaf peeping, pumpkin picking and discovering timeless fall wardrobe essentials are just a few of our favorite fall adventures. And as temps drop and days become shorter, we welcome the season’s delectable dishes that spotlight autumn’s freshest produce.

Here in New England, locals and tourists alike flock each weekend to the region’s family farms to reap the fruits synonymous with fall, the hero fruits of the season – pumpkins and apples.

Even with all the ways to enjoy fall’s bounty, nothing says ‘Americana’ and ‘fall’ more than the tried and true apple pie. Our mouths watered when we discovered this twist on the classic dessert – Salted Caramel Apple Pie.

While we’re suckers for tradition, we also like to venture outside of the apple orchard. Now is the time to enjoy winter squashes, sweet potatoes, figs, pears, Brussel sprouts, persimmons and cranberries, to name a few. So, we’ve put together our favorite fall recipes here for inspiration.

Our advice if you’re planning a visit to the pumpkin patch this weekend: wear layers and your most comfortable boots, bring your camera to capture your adventures, and don’t deny yourself the joy that an apple donut can bring.
